Jason Castro

Born March 25, 1987 in Dallas, Texas, he currently resides in Rockwall, Texas. Jason Castro is currently a finalist in the Top 12 on the seventh season of American Idol.

An early American Idol Season 7 heartthrob, the blue-eyed, dreadlocked singer grew up playing drums and also plays the guitar (which he did on his performances of "Daydream" and "I Just Want to Be Your Everything"). Before auditioning for Idol, Castro was majoring in Construction Science at Texas A&M

His parents are Colombian and he is the first person in his family to be born in the United States.
